Dr. Lixiang Wei is the Chief Technology Officer at Claros. He brings deep expertise in power electronics and energy conversion, including advanced GaN and SiC–based power device architectures, with a proven track record of translating cutting-edge technologies into commercially deployed, high-reliability products across automotive, industrial, and green energy markets. With over a decade of engineering leadership experience, he has built and led highly innovative hardware teams delivering complex power systems from architecture through production.
Prior to Claros, he led electrical design teams at Rivian Automotive, where he drove the development of first-generation DC fast charging and home bidirectional charger platforms. Earlier in his career, he directed multiple global hardware engineering teams responsible for the PF755TR/TR/TL regenerative drive products (400–690V, 10–6000 hp), developed within a SAFe Agile framework. He is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt, an inventor on more than 100 U.S. patents, and the author of over 70 IEEE journal and conference publications, reflecting both deep technical rigor and sustained industry impact.
